FILM FRIENDLY WITH US!

The ITALIAN RIVIERA-ALPI DEL MARE FILM COMMISSION, created by Alessandra Bergero in 1998 in  the western part of Liguria region (district of Savona and Imperia), was one of the first film commissions in Italy.

The wide selection of locations in a narrow territory, the multiple choice of "look alike" venues, the mediterranean sunshine and climate, the numberless tourist accommodations able to offer facilitations for most of the whole year, the closeness and the easy access to main cities and airports, are the main features which attracted productions such as "The Bourne Identity" (Universal Pictures) and "Inkheart" (New Line Cinema/Warner Bros).

 OUR AREA IN BRIEF

The Italian Riviera, or Ligurian Riviera (Italian Riviera ligure) is the narrow coastal strip which lies between the Ligurian Sea and the mountain chain formed by the Maritime Alps and the Apennines. Longitudinally it extends from the border with France and the French Riviera (or Côte d'Azur) near Ventimiglia  to Capo Corvo which marks the eastern end of the Gulf of La Spezia and is close to the border with Tuscany.  (Historically it extended further to the west, through what is now French territory as far as Monaco.)
